From the inception of the firm, NJ Elder Law Center at Goldberg Law Group decided that giving back to our community was going to be a primary goal. We knew back then that we wanted to serve New Jersey seniors and their families but our participation shouldn’t end there. Our first project was to commit to providing a venue for professionals to meet in a non-confrontational, relaxed atmosphere. Enter the NJ Elder Law Center at Goldberg Law Group Happy Hour which we have faithfully hosted every month for six and half years! What started as an invitation-only get together for a dozen elder care professionals has morphed into a monthly networking event attended by all sorts of professionals – elder care professionals are joined by attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, realtors, and others.
Less than one year later, we decided to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association of New Jersey. Without much time and resources we organized a dinner event that raised $10,000. Throughout the years we continue to support local police, Meals on Wheels, and individual families in need. We also resolve to provide free legal services for our veterans when presented with the opportunity. We even donate money to plant trees to hopefully replace some of the trees lost due to our use of paper. Finally, at the end of 2017 we organized a gala event to support a local VFW and our veterans. After months of planning and hundreds of hours of time our team raised $18,500 for this important cause.
As NJ Elder Law Center at Goldberg Law Group continues to grow and help more seniors we find ourselves in the enviable position of being able to donate more resources to our community. In fact, we feel that with success comes an ever-growing responsibility to give back. In that spirit, we resolve to continue to support our community.
